Job summary

Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens, TN is seeking a Cat Scan Technician to support imaging procedures and patient care. You will review orders, educate patients, and ensure safe use of contrast media while monitoring conditions during exams.

Responsibilities include equipment prep, QC, safety compliance, image optimization, and timely reporting of scan results. ARRT CT certification and BLS are required, with relevant education (2-year cert/associates/bachelor's).

Qualifications

• Current Radiation Operator Certificate in state of practice.
• Registered with the ARRT in Radiology and CT.
• BLS required.
• Education: 2-year certificate, associate's degree or bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and orders; educates patient about procedures, equipment and exams.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications; monitors patient condition.
• Prepares equipment; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters; performs quality control.
• Positions patient and performs imaging; analyzes results and ensures image quality; reports results.
