Job summary

Jackson Purchase Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Cat Scan Technician (CT) to perform computed tomography imaging with attention to safety, accuracy, and patient education. The role requires ARRT registration in Radiology and a Kentucky Radiation Operator Certificate, with on-call availability and the ability to work under pressure.

The CT tech will review orders, administer contrast when appropriate, monitor patients, and ensure high-quality imaging while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• Current Radiation Operator Certificate in Kentucky.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiology.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide CT imaging in accordance with scope and standards of practice.
• Review patient history and physician orders.
• Educate patients about procedures and equipment.
• Prepare and administer contrast media within scope of practice.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes.
• Prepare equipment and supplies; ensure safety and quality control.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report issues.
• Position patients and perform imaging procedures; analyze results and quality.
