Overview

Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists specialize in using ionizing radiation to produce cross-sectional images to help doctors diagnose and treat patients. CT Technologists perform diagnostic Computerized Tomographic examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. CT Technologists provide patient care to all age groups: neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT examinations under direct guidance of supervising Radiologist.
• Provide patient care to all age groups: neonatal, pediatrics, adult, geriatrics.
• Ensure adherence to prescribed standards and protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Radiological Technologist, or if less, advanced certification by ARRT in CT.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (R); if less than 1 year, registered by ARRT in CT.
• Advanced certification by ARRT in CT preferred.
• BLS certified.
• Six months experience as a CT Technologist preferred.
