Equiliem is seeking a dedicated CT Technologist for weekday overnight shifts to perform diagnostic imaging and ensure patient safety and comfort during scans.

The role requires NY licensure prior to start, ARRT certification, and two years of experience including Level 1 Trauma Center exposure; BLS is mandatory. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT certification is required.
• New York licensure must be obtained prior to starting.
• Two years of experience required.
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience.
• BLS certification required by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to scan and maintain patient safety.

• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to reduce anxiety.
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
• Position patients and use safe patient handling for limited mobility.
• Document all components accurately in EPIC and ensure images are sent to PACS.
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Technologist to join our team for weekday overnight shifts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during their scans.

CT Technologist Duties and Responsibilities:

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan; strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
• Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling.
• Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC to include identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion.
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.

Requirements:

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and maintains Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• NYS licensure (must obtain PRIOR to starting position).
• Two (2) Years' Experience.
• Level 1 Trauma Center Experience.
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY).

Preferred:

• Injection certification preferred-must be willing to complete during orientation process.
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred.

Soft Skills Required:

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• A patient and compassionate disposition.
• Team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment.

Shift: Monday - Thursday 9:30pm - 8am EST; on call, callback, holidays per unit needs.
