Equiliem in Rochester, NY seeks an MRI Technologist with an associate degree in MRI or radiology. ARRT certification is a plus. You will operate the MRI machine, prepare patients, and coordinate with physicians to ensure timely results.

You should be familiar with medical terminology, able to stand for extended periods, and maintain a safe, confidential environment. BLS is required and NY Rad Tech license is eligible after starting.

Complete Description

We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. You must have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology; certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is a plus. Our ideal candidate knows how to operate the MRI machine efficiently, can make patients feel comfortable before and during the scanning procedure, and coordinates with the patient's physician to ensure the results are received in a timely manner. You also must be familiar with medical terminology and be able to stand for extended periods.

MRI Technologist Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test
• Document all procedures while maintaining the confidentiality of patient information
• Patient care tasks as needed

Requirements

• Two (2) Years' Experience
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Must have client scanner experience to be considered
• Level 1 Trauma Center Experience
• Certification through the ARRT
• Must have injection certification to be considered
• NYS Rad Tech license - must be willing to obtain this after starting

Skills

• Certification through the ARRT or a similar organization (preferred) - Highly desired
