Job summary

RadNet is seeking a CT Technologist Trainee in Los Angeles to join a dedicated team delivering quality care in radiology. You will learn CT imaging under supervision, assist with patient prep, positioning, contrast administration under supervision, and support image processing and quality checks.

Qualifications

• ARRT license (CRT) required.
• ARRT CT certification and/or state CT license within RadNet timeframe.
• Completion of an accredited Radiology program required.
• BLS certification required.
• Venipuncture certification preferred; if not held, must obtain within required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing patients for CT exams and explain procedures.
• Learn positioning techniques, immobilization methods, and safety procedures for CT imaging under supervision.
• Observe and assist with administering contrast media under supervision.
• Support technologists with image processing, PACS transmission, and quality checks.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
• Participate in educational activities and on-the-job instruction to gain competency in CT imaging.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient procedures.
• Provide professional and compassionate care throughout the imaging process.
• Complete administrative tasks, paperwork, and data entry as assigned.

You Will

• Assist with preparing patients for CT exams and explain procedures in a courteous and professional manner.
• Learn proper positioning techniques, immobilization methods, and safety procedures for CT imaging under supervision.
• Observe and assist with administering contrast media (only after obtaining venipuncture certification and under direct supervision, if applicable).
• Support technologists with image processing, PACS transmission, and quality assurance checks.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
• Participate in educational activities, in‑service training, and on‑the‑job instruction to gain competency in CT imaging.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient procedures.
• Provide professional and compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process.
• Complete administrative tasks, paperwork, and data entry as assigned.
• Perform other related duties as assigned while learning the full scope of the CT Technologist role.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have

• Current ARRT® and State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology (CRT).
• Obtain ARRT (CT) certification and/or applicable State CT license within the timeframe required by RadNet policy or state regulations.
• Completion of an accredited Radiology program required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Venipuncture certification preferred; if not held, must obtain within required timeframe.
• Ability to learn and apply specialized CT equipment operation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to relate to patients, physicians, and team members.
• Detail‑oriented, highly organized, and committed to professional development.

Pay Range: $34.00 - $56.00 Per Hour
