Job summary

RadNet is seeking a CT Technologist Trainee to join our team in Maryland. You will assist with CT prep, positioning, and patient care, while gaining competency through supervision and on-the-job training.

Requirements include an accredited Radiology program and ARRT/State licensure, with CT certification pursued within policy timelines. A focus on patient care, HIPAA, and teamwork is essential for success.

Qualifications

  • ARRT(R) and State license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology required.
  • Completion of an accredited Radiology program required.
  • BLS certification required; Venipuncture certification preferred or obtainable within timeframe.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with CT patient prep and explain procedures.
  • Learn positioning techniques and safety procedures for CT imaging.
  • Observe and assist with contrast administration under supervision.
  • Support technologists with image processing, PACS transmission, and QA checks.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  • Participate in training to gain CT competency.
  • Keep exam rooms clean and stocked for procedures.
  • Provide compassionate care during imaging.
  • Complete administrative tasks and data entry.
  • Learn full CT Technologist role scope.

You Will:
  • Assists with preparing patients for CT exams and explains procedures in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Learns proper positioning techniques, immobilization methods, and safety procedures for CT imaging under supervision.
  • Observes and assists with administering contrast media (only after obtaining venipuncture certification and under direct supervision, if applicable).
  • Supports technologists with image processing, PACS transmission, and quality assurance checks.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Participates in educational activities, in-service training, and on-the-job instruction to gain competency in CT imaging.
  • Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient procedures.
  • Provides professional and compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process.
  • Completes administrative tasks, paperwork, and data entry as assigned.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned while learning the full scope of the CT Technologist role.

To Ensure Success in This Role, You Must Have:
  • Must have current ARRT(R) and State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology (CRT).
  • Must obtain ARRT (CT) certification and/or applicable State CT license within the timeframe required by RadNet policy or state regulations. Continued employment in the trainee role is contingent upon meeting this requirement.
  • Completion of an accredited Radiology program required.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.Venipuncture certification preferred; if not held, must obtain within required timeframe.
  • Ability to learn and apply specialized CT equipment operation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to relate to patients, physicians, and team members.
  • Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to professional development.

Pay range $40.00 - $45 Hourly
