Job summary

RadNet is seeking a CT Technologist Trainee to join our team and help deliver high-quality imaging services. You will assist with patient preparation, learn CT positioning, and support contrast administration under supervision, while gaining competency in CT imaging and workflow.

The role requires completion of an accredited Radiology program, ARRT/State Licenses, BLS, and strong interpersonal skills to communicate with patients and staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Current ARRT(R) and State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology (CRT).
  • ARRT (CT) certification and/or applicable State CT license within RadNet policy timeframe.
  • Completion of an accredited Radiology program.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Venipuncture certification preferred; if not held, obtain within required timeframe.
  • Ability to learn and apply specialized CT equipment operation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, physicians, and team members.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with preparing patients for CT exams and explains procedures professionally.
  • Learns positioning techniques, immobilization methods, and safety procedures under supervision.
  • Observes and assists with administering contrast media under supervision if applicable.
  • Supports technologists with image processing, PACS transmission, and QA checks.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Participates in educational activities, in-service training, and on-the-job instruction.
  • Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for procedures.
  • Provides professional and compassionate care to patients throughout imaging.
  • Completes administrative tasks, paperwork, and data entry as assigned.
  • Performs other related duties while learning the full CT Technologist role.

You Will
  • Assists with preparing patients for CT exams and explains procedures in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Learns proper positioning techniques, immobilization methods, and safety procedures for CT imaging under supervision.
  • Observes and assists with administering contrast media (only after obtaining venipuncture certification and under direct supervision, if applicable).
  • Supports technologists with image processing, PACS transmission, and quality assurance checks.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Participates in educational activities, in-service training, and on-the-job instruction to gain competency in CT imaging.
  • Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient procedures.
  • Provides professional and compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process.
  • Completes administrative tasks, paperwork, and data entry as assigned.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned while learning the full scope of the CT Technologist role.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have
  • Must have current ARRT(R) and State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology (CRT).
  • Must obtain ARRT (CT) certification and/or applicable State CT license within the timeframe required by RadNet policy or state regulations. Continued employment in the trainee role is contingent upon meeting this requirement.
  • Completion of an accredited Radiology program required.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • Venipuncture certification preferred; if not held, must obtain within required timeframe.
  • Ability to learn and apply specialized CT equipment operation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to relate to patients, physicians, and team members.
  • Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to professional development.

Pay Range: $40.00 - $50.00 / Per Hour
