Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Dallas, TX, seeks a CT Tech – Radiology Computed Tomography Technologist (PRN) to perform advanced CT imaging in the Radiology CT Scan Department.

You will explain procedures to patients, assist radiologists, and ensure images are correctly sent to PACS, maintaining accuracy and patient safety. This role requires ARRT CT certification and BCLS, with rotating shifts including holidays.

Qualifications

  • Graduate radiologic technologist with CT certification.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • ARRT CT certification required at hire.
  • BCLS certification maintained quarterly.

Responsibilities

  • Explain procedures to patient or guardian prior to exam.
  • Perform complex CT procedures with age-related criteria.
  • Assist radiologist with invasive procedures using aseptic technique.
  • Correctly send and transfer images to PACS.

CT Tech - Radiology Computed Tomography Technologist (PRN)

Work Location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231.

Work Department: Radiology CT Scan.

Work Hours: PRN – Rotating shifts as needed.

Department Highlights

Qualifications
  • Other – Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology required or
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Other – CLIAFE; Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required.
  • 1-year radiologic technician experience w/out ARRT – CT required or
  • No experience w/ ARRT – CT required
  • ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologist, R, upon hire required and
  • ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic, CT, w/no radiology technician experience upon hire or
  • ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologist, CT, w/1 year radiology technician experience within 12 months of hire
  • GMRT – General Medical Radiologic Technologistt, either by TDH or TMB, upon hire and
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
Responsibilities
  • Imaging Quality and Processing:
    • Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam.
    • Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations.
    • Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique.
    • Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS.
