Texas Oncology is seeking a CT-MRI Technologist to join our Dallas Imaging and Infusion Center in a PRN role. Level 1, 2, or Sr will be determined by experience. The role focuses on coordinating and performing CT/MRI exams with emphasis on safety, quality, and timely reporting.

Under general supervision, you will ensure regulatory compliance, provide patient care, and support efficient clinic operations while maintaining high diagnostic standards in a community oncology setting.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
  • Minimum three years of CT/MRI technologist experience.
  • ARRT registered radiologic technologist certification required.
  • Current IV and CPR certifications.
  • CT and MRI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs CT and MRI procedures as ordered, achieving high quality.
  • Escorts patients to treatment area and assists with dressings as needed.
  • Completes paperwork to ensure timely delivery of CT/MRI services.
  • Develops and processes radiologic films; logs procedures.
  • Maintains patient safety and comfort throughout the exam.
  • Performs daily quality control checks and reports malfunctions.
  • Coordinates with maintenance for equipment upkeep.
  • Manages outside film requests and documentation.

This position will support the Dallas Imaging and Infusion Center. This is a PRN role.

This position can be a level 1, 2, or Sr based on candidate experience.

Responsibilities
What does the CT-MRI Tech Tech do?

Under general supervision, is responsible for the coordination and administration of all CT/MRI radiologic exams; ensures technical quality and timely reporting of results. Assures compliance with appropriate regulatory agencies related to patient and employee safety. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

The essential duties and responsibilities
  • Performs CT and MRI procedures as ordered achieving a high level of quality.
  • Offers expertise to physicians regarding appropriateness of additional/modified studies, etc.
  • Escorts patients to treatment room. Assists with dressings as necessary. Completes all paperwork necessary to ensure timely delivery of CT/MRI services.
  • Develops and processes radiologic films. Logs radiologic procedures completed. Processes routine paperwork.
  • Provides protection for patient and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
  • Ensures the safety and physical comfort of the patient while in technologists care.
  • Conducts daily quality control measures to monitor machine performance. Reports all malfunctions and/or need for adjustments to the proper company or facility.
  • Arranges preventive maintenance as recommended by vendor. Follows prescribed safety standards in operating equipment.
  • Orders, logs, and returns outside films requested from other agencies; completes appropriate documentation.
  • Arranges for the release of films to patients and outside agencies.
  • Maintains paperwork for tracking loaned films. Maintains confidentially of all information related to patients and medical staff.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the CT-MRI Tech will have the following background and experience:

Level 1:
  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited school.
  • Minimum three years experience as a CT/MRI Technologist.
  • Certification as a registered radiologic technologist (ARRT) required.
  • Current IV and CPR certifications required.
  • Certification in CT and MRI preferred.
Level 2 (in addition to level 1 requirements):
  • Minimum five years experience as a CT/MRI Technologist.
Level Sr (in addition to level 1 and 2 requirements):
  • Minimum seven years experience as a CT/MRI Technologist.

Requires ability to reach above shoulder height. Requires sitting/standing for extensive periods of time. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
