Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. in Fredericksburg, TX is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT imaging, maintain equipment and ensure patient safety across neonatal to geriatric populations. You will use Meditech for scheduling and charting, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The role requires ARRT certification and an Associate Degree or equivalent, with ongoing training and a strong commitment to radiation safety and quality care. No travel is required.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RT Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer credential required.
• Associate Degree, or Certificate in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT-R Radiography or ARRT-CT certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in CT imaging, patient positioning, procedure prep, and CT system operation.
• Manages Radiology Imaging System (Meditech) for scheduling, tracking, charges and documentation.
• Provides care across neonatal to geriatric patients and follows safety procedures.
• Maintains clean CT rooms and restocks supplies; ensures proper disinfection.
• Works independently and in a team, communicates professionally with staff, patients, vendors and the public.
• Performs additional duties and may cross-train to other department functions.
• May access radiopharmaceuticals and contrast agents as appropriate to procedures.
• May witness waste and inventory controlled substances with authorized personnel.
• Supports system goals and participates in training and competency assessments.
• Dosewatch monitoring and data collection to ensure radiation safety and compliance.
• Shall participate in ongoing education and potential cross-training to ensure department operation.
