Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a CT Scan Technologist to maintain technical skills for CT procedures and ensure patient safety. Responsibilities include equipment operation, digital image management, room preparation, and adherence to policies for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

The role involves maintaining IV access, potentially injecting medication under physician direction, and documenting all procedures and STAT reads.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program or equivalent.
• Associates or higher degree required; ongoing training competencies as defined by facility and department.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT procedures with minimal radiation exposure and high image quality.
• Operates CT systems and related equipment; ensures protocol adherence and radiologist preference.
• Obtains consent for metals/contrast and collects surgical history prior to exams.
• Documents procedures in information systems; records STAT reads per policy.
• Maintains cleanliness and inventory of the CT lab; ensures disinfection and restocking.
• Follows ACR QC requirements and internal policies.
