Job summary

TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield, TN, is seeking a Lead CT Technologist to supervise imaging operations and mentor radiology staff. You will oversee daily assignments, ensure quality patient care, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced diagnostic environment.

The role requires ARRT-CT and ARRT-R credentials, an accredited radiography program, and 2 years of experience, with BLS within 30 days of starting. A strong leader with instructional skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited 24-month Radiological Technology Program.
• Certification by ARRT-CT and ARRT-R required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start date.
• Minimum 2 years of radiology experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage staffing to meet daily demand and flex as needed.
• Coordinate technologist assignments and monitor workflow.
• Ensure all exams are completed and entered into take status.
• Operate department equipment safely and properly.
• Teach and mentor radiology students.
• Apply proper exposure techniques and positioning.
• Understand drug actions, effects, and contraindications for administration.
• Assist with cost-effective supply management.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Lead CT Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician. Lead CT technologist are responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment. Serve as role models and clinical resource for the staff. Respond in a timely manner to requests for information or follow-up with director/manager, physician, staff or patient issues.

What you will do in this role:

• Assure adequate staffing according to volume, flexing when necessary.
• Coordinates daily technologist assignments.
• Assures that all exams are completed and put in take status.
• Operates all department equipment safely and properly
• Teaches and mentors radiology students
• Implements proper exposure techniques and positioning.
• Demonstrates knowledge of drugs, their actions, side effects and contraindications for administration.
• Helps manages supplies in a cost-effective manner.

What qualifications you will need:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited 24-month Radiological Technology Program.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (ARRT-CT) Computed Tomography
• (ARRT-R) Radiography Certificate
• 2 years experience Required Years of Experience
