Job summary

Ochsner Health in New Orleans is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to assess patients and perform routine CT procedures in a high-volume hospital setting. The role includes mentoring junior staff and ensuring safety protocols and image quality.

The ideal candidate will be ARRT-CT certified or registry eligible, with a radiologic technology program background, BLS, and state license. Flexibility for shifts and travel between facilities is expected.

Qualifications

• Required - Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• Required - Registered by the ARRT and/or CT ARRT certification OR CT registry eligible with ARRT registration within 90 days of employment.
• Current unrestricted license in state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred - Advanced CT certification and CT registry eligibility within one year.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure to assure accuracy.
• Operates radiology equipment to complete imaging procedures per protocol.
• Explains procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
• Reviews images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Maintains compliance with regulatory standards and performs quality control procedures.
• Assists in departmental operations and travel between facilities as needed.
