Qualifications

• Completion of formal Radiologic Technology training from an ARRT-approved school
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
• Current State of Utah Radiologic Technologist License
• ARRT Radiography certification and eligibility to sit for CT registry

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and imaging orders; prepare patients for exams, including contrast administration
• Position patients accurately using knowledge of anatomy and physiology
• Perform CT exams following department protocols and transmit data for radiologist interpretation
• Evaluate image quality in real time and adjust for diagnostic quality
• Maintain equipment cleanliness, calibration, and report concerns
• Follow documentation, consent, medical necessity, and coding/charging procedures
