Job summary

Intermountain Health is hiring a Radiologic Technologist in Training (CT) or a trained CT Technologist to join the Imaging team at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT. The role offers structured CT training designed to build clinical confidence and hands-on CT experience.

Caregivers enrolled in a registry program will gain on-the-job training while working alongside experienced CT professionals to transition into a registered CT Technologist role.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal Radiologic Technology training from an ARRT-approved school.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Current State of Utah Radiologic Technologist License.
• ARRT Radiography certification and eligibility to sit for the CT registry.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and imaging orders; prepare patients for exams, including contrast.
• Position patients accurately using anatomy and physiology knowledge.
• Perform CT exams following department protocols and transmit data for interpretation.
• Evaluate image quality in real time and adjust for diagnostic-quality images.
• Perform equipment cleaning, calibration, and maintenance; report issues.
• Adapt imaging techniques based on patient age, size, and condition.
• Support department operations, including inventory and quality initiatives.
• Maintain radiation safety and infection prevention standards.
• Follow documentation, consents, medical necessity, and coding policies.
• Pursue continued learning and new CT procedures.
