Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic imaging procedures with independence and clinical judgment. The role includes patient positioning, image optimization, contrast administration as ordered, and reporting results.

The ideal candidate has ARRT (RT) or NMTCB (CNMT) certification, CT experience, CPR, and strong HIPAA compliance. A two-year associate degree or equivalent is required, with opportunities for professional growth and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• ARRT Registration (RT) or NMTCB (CNMT) required at hire
• Prior CT technologist experience preferred
• CPR certification required (American Heart Association)
• CPR, background checks and privacy/compliance training required
• HIPAA compliance and privacy policies must be followed

Responsibilities

• Position patient and perform radiographic imaging procedures independently
• Analyze results and address image quality issues
• Enter, transmit and report scan results
• Review history and orders with patient and physician
• Prepare and administer contrast media when ordered
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes
• Prepare equipment and select exposure factors & parameters
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report issues
• Perform other duties as assigned

Company :Allegheny Health NetworkJob Description :Sign on Bonus Eligible: $30,000 (3 year commitment)GENERAL OVERVIEW:This job performs prescribed radiographic imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Competently performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and initiative.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s) independently . Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reports scan results. ( 4 0%)Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. (20%)When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate. (20%)Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
