Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year radiology experience.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT certification.
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at ALARA.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders and patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep and post-care using AIDET; address questions and alleviate anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast with venipuncture and sterile technique as applicable.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed.
• Finalize studies in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrieval as needed.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies and restock life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes and collaborate with technologists to support department flow.
• Support operations and compliance; keep areas orderly and perform charging/clerical tasks.
