Job summary

Ascension Via Christi Manhattan is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in Computed Tomography to generate high-precision diagnostic images in a rotating, PRN schedule. The role requires licensure and CT-specific certifications within defined timelines, strict adherence to safety guidelines, and effective patient care during imaging procedures.

Responsibilities include administering contrast, complying with state and federal regulations, and continually evaluating and refining imaging

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Kansas Board of Healing Arts radiologic license required within 90 days of hire.
• NMTCB CT certification within 90 days of hire is preferred or required with CNMT/CNMT path.
• ARRT CT certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Generate high-precision diagnostic CT images by proper patient positioning and parameter selection.
• Ensure radiation safety and monitor patients during procedures for a secure experience.
• Safely administer contrast media and related medications following regulations.
• Evaluate imaging protocols and suggest refinements to improve diagnostic quality.

How you'll make an impact in this role

• Generate high-precision diagnostic images by expertly positioning patients and selecting anatomic parameters to ensure physicians have the clearest data for life-saving diagnoses.
• Prioritize clinical safety by strictly adhering to radiation protection guidelines and monitoring patients during procedures to ensure a secure and comfortable imaging experience.
• Manage complex imaging protocols by safely administering contrast media and medications, ensuring all procedures meet rigorous state and federal regulatory standards.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
• Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date. NMTCB(CT) Computed Tomography Specialty Certification or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomographyrequired in addition to CNMT Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

What additional preferences we're seeking

• Clinical Expertise: A minimum of 2 years of professional experience specifically performing Computed Tomography (CT) procedures.
