How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Deliver high‑quality diagnostic imaging as a CT Technologist by performing complex computerized tomographic procedures according to established radiologist protocols.
- Provide compassionate direct patient care by accurately positioning patients and selecting precise technical parameters to ensure optimal clinical outcomes.
- Administer contrast media and medications safely while maintaining strict compliance with state regulations and professional CT Technologist scope of practice.
- Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to monitor patient safety, document clinical findings in the EHR, and recommend protocol refinements.
- Maintain rigorous radiation safety standards and quality improvement guidelines to protect patients and staff during every diagnostic imaging procedure.
What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in General Practice credentialed from the Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- One or more of the following:
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialty also accepted.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. NMTCB(CT) Computed Tomography Specialty Certification or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography required in addition to CNMT Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification.
Education
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
