Job summary

Ascension Living is seeking a CT Technologist for the Evening shift in Elk Grove Village, IL. You will perform CT scans, prepare patients, administer contrast, and monitor procedures following radiologist protocols.

Responsibilities include ensuring accurate PACS submissions, maintaining radiation safety, updating protocols, and reporting abnormalities. The role requires specific CT/NM credentialing and a credentialable radiologic background.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Radiologic Technologist or Nuclear Medicine Technologist credentialed from IEMA obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required: NMTCB CT or ARRT CT credentials or CNMT/CNMT-CT credentials.

• Perform CT scans to diagnose disease and injury following radiologist-established protocols.
• Prepare and position patients, select technical parameters, administer contrast/medications, and monitor patients during procedures.
• Ensure high-quality image submission to PACS with accurate data and adhere to radiation safety guidelines.
• Recommend protocol updates as needed and report any abnormal activity.

Education

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience

Associate's degree/Technical degree

4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Ability to work Full-time, weekdays from 3:0 0 PM to 11:30 PM, with rotating weekends, 2 holidays, and rotating call.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Radiologic Technologist or Nuclear Medicine Technologist credentialed from IEMA obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. NMTCB(CT) Computed Tomography Specialty Certification or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography required in addition to CNMT Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialty also accepted.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
