Job summary

UT Health Carthage Hospital in Carthage, TX is seeking a PRN Radiology CT Technician to perform CT studies for patients of all ages, from neonatal to geriatric, under the supervision of the CT supervisor and radiologists.

The role requires a High School diploma, an Associate degree in Radiography, ARRT registration within 90 days and Texas Medical Board licensure, plus BLS within 14 days of hire; overtime and call back are required.

Qualifications

• This position is subject to overtime and call back as required by the hospital.

• UT Health Carthage boasts 23 private patient rooms featuring a 24-hour emergency department, designated as a Level IV trauma center with advanced diagnostic technology, a cardiac rehabilitation program, a GI lab, outpatient clinics and a sleep lab.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT studies/ procedures for patients of all ages (neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric) utilizing ionizing radiation and treatment of disease.
• Functions under the general supervision of the CT supervisor and in cooperation with the radiologists.
• This position is subject to overtime and call back as required by the hospital.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in Radiography from an accredited college.
• Upon completion of an accredited radiology program, the employee will have 90 days to become ARRT registered and licensed through the Texas Medical Board.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• 2 years as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist.
• CT Experience.
