Job summary

Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia, seeks an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for a full-scope, independent role across the care continuum, including first assist in complex procedures, EVH, perioperative management, and critical care in the CVICU.

You'll join a collaborative CT APP team with experienced CT surgeons, offering substantial operative exposure and long-term growth within a growing cardiovascular program.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant experience preferred.
• Current experience with EVH is required.
• First assist experience is required.
• Ability to manage preoperative, postoperative, and critical care patients.
• Experience in CVICU or similar critical care setting preferred.
• Eligible for Georgia licensure and credentialing in a timely manner.
• Strong communication and team-based care skills.

Responsibilities

• First assist in a broad range of cardiothoracic surgical procedures.
• Dedicated CVICU clinical responsibilities.
• Perioperative management and inpatient rounding.
• Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons and CT APP team.
• Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and consultations.
• Approximately 1:4 call rotation; limited weekend coverage.
