Job summary
Atlantic Health is seeking a CT Technologist to produce cross-section images for diagnosis, position patients per protocol, and operate CT equipment with ALARA standards.
The role requires ARRT registration, an accredited radiology program, and state licensure in Diagnostic Technology, with CT certification preferred. The department uses EPIC, Radiant, and PACS for image handling and scheduling.
Qualifications
- Accredited educational program related to the radiology field and ARRT registration.
- Associate's degree in Applied Science in Diagnostic Radiology.
- Licensed by the State in Diagnostic Technology.
Responsibilities
- Interprets CT Protocols and correctly positions the patient for the exam.
- Operates CT scanner equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation standards (ALARA).
- Evaluates CT scans for technical quality.
- Utilizes EPIC, Radiant, and PACS to schedule and transmit images to the Radiologist for interpretation.
- Prepares and administers contrast material using the power injector.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
