Job summary

Atlantic Health Newton Medical Center in Newton, NJ is seeking a CT technologist to produce cross-section images and assist radiologists, interpreting scanning instructions, administering contrast, preparing and operating CT equipment, and positioning patients.

The role requires ARRT registration, state licensure, and an associate degree in Diagnostic Radiology; CT certification is preferred. A collaborative team environment and commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• ARRT-registered radiologic technologist.
• Associate's degree in Diagnostic Radiology.
• State license in Diagnostic Technology.
• CT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret CT Protocols and correctly position the patient for the exam.
• Operate CT scanner equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation standards (ALARA).
• Evaluate CT scans for technical quality.
• Utilize EPIC, Radiant, and PACS to schedule and transmit images to the Radiologist for interpretation.
• Prepare and administer contrast material using the power injector.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
