Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Two-year certificate, associate degree or higher; Baccalaureate degree may be preferred.
• Certifications: BLS.
• Licenses: West Virginia Radiation Operator Certificate; ARRT radiology registration.
• On-Call Availability: Must accept on-call assignments and report within 30 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Review patient history and physician orders.
• Educate patient about procedures and exam.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications when within scope.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to status changes.
• Prepare equipment and supplies; ensure safety and quality control.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and document issues.
• Position patient and perform imaging procedures.
• Analyze results and address image quality issues; reimage if needed.
• Enter, transmit and report scan results.
