Job summary

Care New England Health System in Rhode Island is seeking an experienced CT technologist responsible for quality diagnostic CT examinations and the nursing care needed to ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures. You will schedule and prepare patients, monitor and assist during contrast administration, and support Radiologists with biopsies and related procedures.

This role requires an Associate’s degree in Applied Science with Radiology plus CPR, ARRT, and CTD certifications, with

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Applied Science w/Radiology is required.
CPR Certification required; ARRT certification required.
CTD certification required.

Responsibilities

Schedule and prepare patients for CT scanning per physician request, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Interview patients for contrast sensitivity and review records for contraindications and consent.
Operate CT equipment per protocol and monitor function; troubleshoot as needed.
Prepare patients for venipuncture, insert IVs, administer contrast, assist radiologist with biopsies and drainages.
Collect and analyze data for image quality and exam completeness; transfer images to film/CD.
Prepare patient file for radiologists’ interpretation.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
