Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network in Wisconsin seeks a CT Technologist to support radiology services with direct radiologist assistance during invasive procedures and during CT scans. You will manage contrast injections, document histories, and ensure high-quality PACS images.

Required ARRT registration with CT registry within a year and an ARRT education program certificate, plus 1 year of CT experience. BLS certification within three months of hire is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an ARRT recognized education program, or ARRT registered.
• Advanced CT registry required within 1 year of hire.
• A.A.S. Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
• 1 year of experience is required, two years or more of CT experience preferred.
• Current state license and ARRT registry required.

Responsibilities

• Directly assists Radiologist during invasive procedures and performs CT scans as directed.
• Communicates clinical observations to Radiologist during CT exams.
• Presents clinical history as documented to Radiologist.
• Demonstrates competency in RIS/HIS modules relevant to duties.
• Injects contrast for CT scans per department policy.
• Completes patient CT questionnaire prior to start of exam.
• Performs 3-D imaging functions.
• Provides educational information to patients about their examination.
• Maintains professional development via in-services or continuing education.
• Adheres to downtime procedures to ensure continuity of care.
• Is aware of patient condition, history and pertinent background info.
• Responsible for quality of digital images sent to PACS.
• Verifies correct patient and accuracy of Medical Record before sending to PACS.
• Contributes to achieving hospital Press Ganey scores.
• Ensures patient education for every exam.
• Annual peer review of images to department standards.
