Job summary

Concord Hospital in New Hampshire seeks a CT Technologist to perform CAT scan imaging and related techniques under the supervision of the Chief Cat Scan Technologist, Director of Radiology, Chairman, or Manager.

You will ensure compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements; prepare patients, document care, and operate department systems; participate in meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an education program accredited by the JRCERT.
• Registration and CT certification within 2 years of hire.
• Current ARRT registration (CT) and BLS certification.
• NH licensure as required for radiologic practice.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT diagnostic or therapeutic procedures within scope and standards.
• Assesses information; prepares patient and educates patient for procedures.
• Completes documentation of patient care and procedures.
• Operates department information systems and equipment.
• Maintains productivity and safety in workload management.
• Participates in meetings and committee initiatives.
• Completes hospital, departmental, and professional requirements.
• Engages in continuous improvement aligned with management goals.

Summary

Under the supervision of the Chief Cat Scan Technologist, Director of Radiology, Chairman, or Manager, the CT Technologist performs CAT scan imaging procedures and related techniques resulting in the interpretation by, or at the request of, a licensed independent practitioner. Follows professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements.

Education

Graduate of an education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).

Certification, Registration & Licensure

Registration required: Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist; Advanced certification in CT required within 2 years of hire

Certification required: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by American Heart Association.

Licensure required: Licensed and Certified by the NH Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy

Experience

None required.

• Adheres to department policy and procedures, and practices modality specific safety protocols.
• Actively engages in departmental meetings,modality meetingsand committee initiatives.
• Completes hospital, departmental, and professional requirements.
• Participates in assignments, duties and responsibilities for continuous improvement in alignment with management and organizational goals
