Job summary

Boys Town National Research Hospital is seeking a CT & Radiology Technologist to operate radiographic and CT equipment and produce high-quality images for designated body areas. The role requires careful patient positioning, adherence to radiation safety, and coordination with radiologists.

The position offers full-time days, rotating call for x-ray and OR coverage, plus rotating holidays. Candidates must be ARRT certified in Radiography and CT, hold Nebraska licensure, and have CPR

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved, accredited School of Radiologic Technology or an Education in Radiologic Technology from an approved program in the U.S. Military required.
• ARRT in Radiography, CT and Nebraska Medical Radiography licensure required.
• CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operates x-ray equipment for each exam in accordance with radiation safety guidelines.
• Positions and instructs patients for each view using immobilization and protective devices.
• Processes images in CR reader and DR system.
• Sends images to PACS and uses basic PACS software.
• Routes images and history to the interpreting radiologist.
• Completes clerical and billing functions for x-ray and CT studies.
• Maintains supplies and infection control; ensures a clean environment.
• Performs CT tasks including patient screening, contrast administration, and safety procedures.
• Verifies correct patient, site, positioning, protocols and scan parameters for CT.
• Assists in department performance improvement and survey readiness.
