Job summary

UCHealth Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, CO is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT imaging. This onsite, full-time role works nights, with a shift of 80 hours per pay period.

You will perform CT exams per scope and standards, review orders, prepare contrast, ensure patient safety, and provide accurate results. Requires ARRT CT certification within 12 months, BLS, state licensure if required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) or registry eligible with CT registry within 12 months (ARRT).
• State licensure if required by law.
• BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
• BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history, physician's orders and schedules exams.
• Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient condition and responds to changes in status as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies.
• Selects exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Implements safety standards and performs quality control on equipment.
• Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions as necessary.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures.
• Analyzes results and identifies imaging quality issues; takes corrective actions.
• Enters, transmits and reports scan results; may perform 3-D post processing.
