Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Chicago is seeking a Radiologic Technologist CT for downtown Chicago, full-time nights (12-hour shifts) with a sign-on bonus eligibility. You will perform CT imaging, ensure ALARA principles, and maintain safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include image acquisition, contrast administration, patient preparation, documentation, and collaboration with radiologists to deliver diagnostic studies while upholding patient care and department goals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Computed Tomography (CT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Maintains accountability for patient safety throughout the imaging process, including screening, preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and professional standards.
• Administers contrast in accordance with policy, including screening for contraindications and patient monitoring.
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in medical record and image archive system, including exam set-up, image routing, result availability and charging accuracy.
• Verifies orders and confirms protocol.
• Positions and immobilizes patient on examining table.
• Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately and uses ALARA principles during examinations.
• Assures patient, staff and personal safety by adhering to established standards including Right Patient and Right Exam.
