Job summary

Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Colorado is seeking a CT Technologist to perform basic and intermediate diagnostic CT procedures. You will obtain patient history, verify orders, position patients, adjust scanning factors and provide radiation safety under regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities include administering contrast under the Radiologist, post-processing images, and proper labeling. Knowledge of RIS data entry and billing codes is required, with strong teamwork and independent work

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and basic radiation safety.
• Competent in IV and venipuncture (if required by facility).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills to work effectively with physicians, patients and other staff members.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to perform basic/intermediate diagnostic procedures.
• Obtain medical history and verify orders to ensure exam accuracy.
• Position patient and adjust scanning factors to obtain quality images with safety.
• Administer contrast under Radiologist direction and assist in scanning.
• Post-process images and label studies with patient identifiers.
• Enter patient and study data into RIS and document billing codes.
• Identify equipment issues and perform QA checks.
• Handle patient positioning and lifting as required with proper technique.
• Provide age-appropriate care following department policies.
