VillageMD is seeking a CAT Scan Technologist in White Plains, NY to perform radiographic and CT examinations at a high technical level. The role requires independent judgement and adherence to ALARA and safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds NY State license and ARRT certification with BD/CT modalities, can communicate urgent findings, and maintains ongoing education to support quality patient care.

Qualifications

• New York State license and ARRT certification with BD and CT modalities.
• Excellent patient and people skills.
• Able to communicate urgent findings with Radiologist.
• Proper positioning skills and scanning techniques.
• Continuing education credits and licenses required by NYS DOH and ARRT.
• Cross-trained upon hire to meet department needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist patients for CAT scan procedures.
• Review patient orders in advance to ensure proper exam.
• Educate patients about procedures and contrast administration.
• Set up CAT scan equipment and select protocols.
• Obtain high-quality images with proper positioning and slice thickness.
• Instruct patients on pre/post-scan instructions.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and proper data handling.
