Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Full-Time Diagnostic Technologist who is eager to grow into CT skills. The successful candidate will perform radiography and CT imaging, apply established protocols, and contribute to high-quality patient care with accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiography procedures using established protocols with minimal supervision.
• Operate advanced imaging equipment to acquire, analyze, and document image data.
• Adjust imaging protocols using independent judgment for diagnostic accuracy.
• Review patient histories and orders to obtain optimal results.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and follow universal imaging protocols.
• Administer contrast per physician orders and departmental policies.
• Explain procedures to patients to ease concerns and gain cooperation.
• Demonstrate compassion, professionalism, and respect in interactions with patients and staff.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure timely patient care.
• Ensure exams are properly coded, archived in RIS/ISITE, and billed correctly.
