Join Cleveland Clinic Health System’s Lodi Hospital as a CT Technologist - PRN to perform cross-section imaging for diagnosis with advanced technology and patient care at a community-based hospital near Medina County. You will work with a supportive team in a world-class healthcare system.

The role requires ARRT RT(R) and CT certification, state licensure, and BLS. Evening/night shifts (7:00pm–7:00am) are typical, with opportunities to grow within the Cleveland Clinic Akron General network.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists RT(R) (ARRT) in good standing
• CT Certification [R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT)] within one year of hire
• Current state licensure
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

Responsibilities

• Provide computed tomography imaging and patient care services at defined levels to patients of all ages.
• Check and prepare patients prior to CT study.
• Acquire patients chart data/requisition and review both to determine correct room set-up and learn of any specific medical problems and contraindications to the study.
• Verify that the study being ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs.
• Assure patient’s safety and comfort during procedures.
• Educate patients regarding procedure, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Prepare and administer contrast media or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Perform VNA punctures as necessary.
• Maintain all aspects of the CT area, including the technical and clerical components, to ensure proper quality assurance results and any required documentation.
• Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
• Observe potential equipment dysfunctions and report problems to appropriate individuals.
• Maintain available equipment uptime at the highest level.
