Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is hiring a CT Technologist in Huntley, IL to support imaging services. The role emphasizes patient safety, quality imaging, contrast administration, and adherence to regulatory standards.

You will operate CT equipment, ensure proper documentation, and collaborate with radiology teams to maintain high standards of care and efficiency. Qualified candidates hold ARRT CT certification, IEMA accreditation, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• ARRT Computed Tomography (CT) certification.
• Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Accreditation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient safety throughout imaging process including screening, preparation, monitoring and post-procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality CT images using approved protocols and standards.
• Applies professional judgement to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.
• Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective actions when needed.
• Administers contrast per policy with screening and monitoring.
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains exam rooms.
• Ensures accurate documentation in the medical record and image archive systems.
• Maintains quality and safety standards, including radiation and infection control.
