The role requires ARRT or NMTCB certification with new graduates needing certification prior to employment, plus completion of a Radiologic Technology training program. A related Bachelor's degree is preferred and professional conduct is expected in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Certification by ARRT or NMTCB required; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment.
• Completion of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; a Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Ability to evaluate image quality, work in a clinical environment, and follow policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper patient identification, preparation, and documentation of clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and adhere to ALARA principles for patient safety.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, and evaluate image quality and proper data storage or transfer.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and assist with interventional procedures.
• Perform imaging procedures as directed by licensed practitioners.
