Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT procedures across neonatal to geriatric patients under supervision. You will position patients, select protocols, transmit images to PACS, and assist radiologists with biopsies, while maintaining safety standards and patient care in a dynamic imaging department.

The role requires completion of a JRCERT-accredited program, MD State Radiologic Technologist license, ARRT CT certification, and CPR.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years CT scanning experience.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent customer relations skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient keyboard and computer skills.
• Ability to manage stressful work with patients with potentially disabling or terminal conditions.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment problems.
• Ability to recognize and respond to contrast medium reactions.

Responsibilities

• Position and secure patients on CT table.
• Select scan protocols and compute settings.
• Transmit images to PACS for interpretation and records.
• Assist radiologist during CT-guided biopsy and aspirations.
• Ensure optimal CT images for accurate diagnoses.
• Collaborate with radiologists in CT evaluation.
• Monitor CT equipment status; perform daily QC.
• Screen patients for contrast sensitivity; obtain consent.
