Job summary

Advocate Health in Illinois is seeking a part-time Radiology Imaging Support role to assist imaging technologists and prepare exam rooms for CT and other imaging procedures. You will help with patient prep, positioning, and routine safety under supervision.

The position requires enrollment in an accredited Radiologic Technology program, BLS certification, and ARRT RT eligibility within 120 days with CT registration within 18 months. This role is on-site in Oak Lawn, IL.

Qualifications

• In progress radiography program accredited by ARRT-acceptable mechanism.
• Clinical competencies in Chest, Abdomen, Spine, Cranial/Facial, Upper/Lower Extremity, Thorax, IVP and GI.
• Course work in Patient Care and Radiation Safety/Protection.
• Strong communication and patient-care abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and maintain infection control.
• Verify patient identity, explain procedures and obtain history.
• Assist patient prep and transfers between areas.
• Use radiology systems to generate requisitions and check schedules.
• Review medical records to gather clinical information for exams.
