Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital – St. Louis is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT procedures in a fast-paced imaging department. Responsibilities include patient positioning, contrast administration, and adherence to radiation safety protocols.

The role requires completion of an accredited Radiology/Nuclear Medicine/Radiation Therapy program and ARRT credentials. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Radiology Technology, Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy program.
• ARRT-CT Computed Tomography credential or NMTCB CT credential is required.
• Illinois/Missouri work location considerations and licenses may apply per state law.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Administers contrast media and/or medications within scope and regulations.
• Observes patient during procedure and monitors protocols as warranted.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Requirements: Completion of Radiology/Nuclear Medicine/Radiation Therapy program. A CT credential is required within 12 months of hire.

Job Summary

Performs computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists. This position must perform at least 3 of the following procedures: biopsy, TAVR, coronary, watchman, extremity work for OR planning, ablations or fiducial placement.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION
• Completion of a Radiology Technology, Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy program EXPERIENCE
• No experience required REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS State of Work Location: Illinois
