Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Madison is seeking a PRN CT technologist to perform computed tomography procedures for diagnosis following radiologist-established protocols. The role requires completing a Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy program and obtaining CT credentials within 12 months of hire.

The position offers flexible PRN shifts across a 24/7 schedule, with sign-on bonus eligibility and opportunities to advance through credentialing and continued education.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Radiology Technology, Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy program.
• Commitment to obtaining CT credential within 12 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice.
• Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity; follows protocols and safety guidelines.
• Monitors radiation safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the department. EDUCATION requirements: verify licensure and credentials as listed.

Job Summary

Performs computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists. This position must perform at least 3 of the following procedures: biopsy, TAVR, coral, watchman, extremity work for OR planning, ablations or fiducial placement.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION
• Completion of a Radiology Technology, Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy program EXPERIENCE
