Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking a part-time Cytotechnologist to join our team. The successful candidate will prepare, stain, mount, and study cells to detect cancer and other abnormalities, and work closely with the pathologist to report findings.
Responsibilities include preparing slides from specimens, adhering to STAT protocols, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. CT(ASCP) or eligibility is required along with a Bachelor’s degree.

Schedule: Part-time, day shifts.
Prepares, stains, mounts, and studies cells of the human body to detect evidence of cancer, abnormalities, and other pathological conditions, following established standards and guidelines.
Prepares and examines microscopic slides from specimens of blood, scrapings, or other bodily exudates.
Fixes and stains the slides to preserve specimen and enhance visibility of cells under the microscope.
Works closely with the pathologist to report abnormalities.
