Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist with CT experience in a fast-paced radiology department. The role includes performing contrast-enhanced CT exams and coordinating with radiologists in a busy VA facility.

Able to meet ARRT certification requirements and complete a 24-month training program, with potential EDRP eligibility and federal benefits support. On-site work in California with standard VA shifts.

Qualifications

• Certification: ARRT in Radiography (R) is required.
• Education: 24 months post-high school radiologic technology program certificate or associate degree.
• Grandfathering provision may apply to current VA employees.
• Experience/ KSAs: knowledge of radiation protection standards, dose monitoring and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams of head, neck, chest, and body with/without contrast.
• Operate CT equipment under supervision of Radiologist and Cardiology team.
• Coordinate with Radiologists on nonstandard exams.
• Maintain records and logs of exams and patient data in the information system.
• Stock and inventory CT, Cardiac, and Angiographic supplies.
