**Job Description:**

The CT Tech performs a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. This position requires ingenuity, initiative, and independent judgment to perform high-quality scans.

**Shift:** Part-time (20 hours), Mon 1900-0730, Tue 1700-0130

**Location:** Platte Valley Hospital

**As a CT Technologist at Intermountain Health, your responsibilities include:**

1. Maintaining ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions.
2. Understanding and operating CT equipment and information systems to produce quality images.
3. Ensuring proper patient identification, order verification, and preparation.
4. Following protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, obtaining consents, maintaining QC, and reporting equipment issues.
5. Administering contrast media as ordered, under supervision, and educating patients on safety concerns.
6. Staying updated with advancements in CT technology through continuing education.

**Minimum Qualifications for CT Tech:**

• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) within 60 days
• ARRT (R) certification upon hire
• State licensure as applicable upon hire
• IV Competency within 90 days

**Preferred Qualifications:**

• Fluoroscopy certification (for Colorado hires)
• Certified CT Technologist (ARRT (R)(CT))
• Facility-specific certifications as required
• 1-2 years hospital-based CT experience

**Minimum Qualifications for CT Tech II:**

• Current ARRT (R)(CT) registration
• BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 90 days
• At least 3 years of CT experience
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and radiation safety

**Physical Requirements:**

Location: Platte Valley Hospital, Brighton, Colorado

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 20

The hourly rate ranges from $34.06 to $52.55, depending on experience.
