We are recruiting for a motivated CT Technologist I/II to join our team!

Job Summary

Under the direction of a radiologist, performs computed tomographic (CT) examinations at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical imaging procedures that entail application of ionizing radiation; therefore, prudent judgment, strong technical skills, and commitment to patient safety are considered requisite professional characteristics for individuals assuming the position as a CT technologist.

Levels

CT Technologist II

Intended for candidates with current clinical competency and familiarity with all radiography imaging equipment used at Denver Health. On the job training is available to qualify for this level.

CT Technologist I

Suitable for candidates right out of school or with less than 1 year of experience, or individuals developing expert-level competency. Pay ranges between $31.25 - $48.44.

Essential Functions

• Achieve clinical competency within advanced imaging techniques of Computed Tomography, including 3D Gout, 3D Cartilage, Cardiac CT Angiography (CCTA)
• Proficient in all clinical roles and competencies within CT; perform any study as needed
• Maintain a level of studies to retain clinical competencies
• Maintain superuser status of Syngo and 3D reconstruction software; troubleshoot and utilize independently
• Perform advanced IV placement using ultrasound guidance, including pediatric IV placement
• Complete high-level PACS duties, assess and correct issues, ensure report accuracy
• Lead and mentor team members, assess imaging needs, and supervise cross-training programs

Education & Experience

• Associate's Degree required
• 1-3 years of professional CT imaging experience required

Licenses

• BLS from AHA
• RT Radiography from ARRT
• RTCT Computed Tomography from ARRT

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Operational knowledge of CT equipment and related technology
• Understanding of age-specific patient care needs
• Technical skills in performing CT studies
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to interpret physician orders and adjust equipment settings prudently
• Ability to produce high-quality images of various anatomical structures

Work Details

Shift: Regular, Full-time

Salary: $33.53 - $51.97/hr
