Job summary

HDR invites students in engineering programs to participate in a comprehensive training pathway designed to develop consulting skills and technical expertise. The program emphasizes inclusion, leadership, and active participation in HDR’s employee-owned culture.

As part of the experience, interns will gain exposure to budgeting, scheduling, client communication, and business development concepts while contributing to real projects across HDR’s nationwide locations.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in training and mentoring to develop professional consulting skills.

Our goal is to provide the training, mentoring, and workload required to develop our professionals into fully competent service providers. To support this goal, we encourage all of our team to be leaders in their respective areas of technical expertise and to learn key consulting skills such as managing budgets and schedules, communicating with clients, marketing/business development, and presenting to various audiences. We offer over 40 in-house training programs to assist with developing these skills. This approach allows our employees to develop professionally and pursue various career paths without ever leaving the HDR family.
