Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd. seeks an experienced CSU Electrical Superintendent to support home office deliverables and on-site testing during the Commissioning and Start-Up phase of the project.

You will oversee CSU electrical personnel, coordinate with equipment manufacturers, and ensure alignment with safety and project schedules. Essential qualifications include 10+ years in a lead electrical role on EPC or petrochemical facilities, familiarity with NETA, NEC, IEEE, NFPA, ANSI, and strong

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a lead electrical role for HV/MV/LV equipment on EPC projects or in a petrochemical facility.
• Familiar with codes and standards of NETA, NEC, IEEE, NFPA and ANSI.
• Effectively communicate technical solutions to other engineers and non-engineers.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint (presentation skills), Visio.
• Knowledgeable in the development of operating manuals and SOPs.
• Good organizational skills and adaptability to project changes.
• Proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, development and execution of safe pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup and performance testing.
• Assist in planning and execution of CSU site inspection and testing during CSU phase.
• Manage CSU electrical personnel in developing project deliverables (schedules, procedures, manuals, systemization, spares).
• Liaise with equipment manufacturers during site activities.
• Coordinate with Preservation Coordinator for maintaining electrical equipment.
• Implement or adjust work schedules of electrical personnel.

Job description

The CSU Electrical Superintendent supports the preparation of home office deliverables and site inspection and testing performed during the Commissioning and Start-Up (CSU) phase of the project.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Reports to the CSU Manager.
• Assist planning, development and execution of a safe Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, Startup and Performance Testing of the facility.
• Manages CSU electrical personnel in the develop of project deliverables (e.g., schedules, procedures, manuals, systemization, spares, etc.)
• Liaise with equipment manufacturers during the execution of site activities.
• Liaise with the Preservation Coordinator in maintaining electrical equipment.
• Implements, maintains or changes work schedules of electrical personnel.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• 10+ years of experience in a lead electrical role for HV/MV/LV equipment on EPC projects or in an operating petrochemical facility.
• Familiar with codes and standards of NETA, NEC, IEEE, NFPA and ANSI.
• Effectively communicate technical solutions to other engineers and non-engineers.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint (presentation skills), Visio.
• Knowledgeable in the develop of operating manuals, standard operating procedures.
• Good organizational skills and adaptable to potential changes in the project.

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

• Electrical certification from an accredited apprentice program.
• B.S. Electrical Engineering.
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
• Local Area Safety Council Certificate.
