Job summary

UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital in The Villages, FL is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support aseptic perioperative care and patient safety. The role requires teamwork under the direction of the Director, Manager, Charge Nurse, and RNs.

The position offers 0.90 FTE with 3-12 shifts, days and hours varying, and on-call coverage as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Surgical Technology certification or LPN license.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Director, Manager, Charge Nurse, and RNs, the Surgical Technologist is responsible for providing an aseptic environment within the perioperative arena. Surgical conscience is of the utmost importance. Must be well versed in the basics of routine surgical and diagnostic cases.

FTE: 0.90 (3-12's shifts)

Location: The Villages, FL

Position requires on-call coverage.
