All Coastal Health District, County Health Department employees are deemed essential employees in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event not limited to but including, staffing a shelter, a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or Point of Dispensing site (POD). When you are called on to participate, you are expected and it will be a part of your job requirement to participate, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.
Supervises, guides, and instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff for busy Health Department HIV/AIDS Clinic in Brunswick. This position is a working manager position and the incumbent will be expected to work along side subordinate staff when necessary. Communicates with the general public, internal and external customers to provide information and recommendations targeted to meet customer expectations. This position will require the incumbent to exhibit critical thinking to resolve complicated issues and situations involving customer service and employee management in compliance with governing policies, procedures and laws in response to customer needs. Supervisory responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing subordinate staff, maintaining the schedule, address and resolve customer service issues and complaints, support the CSR staff and conduct the duties of a CSR when needed.
Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision
Serves as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas
Answers telephone and give information to callers, take messages, or transfers calls to appropriate individuals
Arranges conferences, meetings, and travel reservations for office personnel
Completes forms in accordance with organizational procedures
Composes, types, and distributes meeting notes, routine correspondence, and reports
Maintains confidential information
Completes tasks and assignments associated with administrative support functions (ie, licensure, purchasing, records management, inventory, or similar function)
Supervise assigned staff
Communicates with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, take orders, and address complaints
High school diploma/GED and five (5) years in a lead worker, team leader, or supervisory role communicating information in a customer service setting; or two (2) years of experience required at the lower level Customer Svc Rep 3 (GST122).
Preferred qualifications: 3-5 years prior experience in Practice Management/Medical Office. Experience in coding/billing, medical records. Prior HIV experience preferred.
